Fighting Fate 4 (Burst of Power)

"(Damn! Do i have to use it here!?) Fine, here goes!"

Then Devon screamed, as if he's  trying to unleash his power.
After the scream, everything goes silent.
Bullets and arrows travel slowly along the desert.

He used his telekinesis power to enhance his Mind and Reflexes.
Increased Reflex caused Time Slowdown effect.
Enhanced Mind speeds up thinking process, further increasing Time Slowdown effect.

"I can slowdown time to search for an opening or an exit, but i can't move!"

After a few moments of silence, time goes back to normal,

"(This is it,) Now!" *Kicks the guy in motorcycle, then runs*

Devon run with increased speed, then Devon swiftly run to the border.
Dodging arrows and bullets, he runs along the desert with Marlene on his back.

Suddenly,

*Devon trips on a landmine near the border, then immediately jumps out of the landmine explosion radius*

"WHOA!"

*A set of Explosion, some of the mines landmines explode simultaneously, opening a path to the border gate.*

"(Whew, that's a close one.) Let's keep going!"

-Meanwhile, inside the border.-

*Rebel troops guarding the border*

*Faint explosion sounds*

Rebel Troop 1:"An explosion!?" 

Rebel Troop 2:"Huh? Go check it out, i'll contact Headquarters." *Picks up Radio*

Rebel Troop 1:"Roger that." *Exits the border Fortress* "Tower, This is Watchdog, Tower, Do you read me, over."

Rebel Troop 2:"Loud and Clear Watchdog, what do you see?"

Rebel Troop 1:"Looks like multiple hostiles chasing 2 unarmed civilians, must be Mercs Bandits."

Rebel Troop 2:"Shit. Return to Fortress, i'll contact HQ." *Changes Radio Frequency* "HQ! Come in."

Nearby Rebel HQ:"This is HQ, Whats your Status?"

Rebel Troop 2:"We're going to need back-up, multiple Merc Bandits showed up chasing 2 civilians heading this way. Going to Alert Status!"

Nearby Rebel HQ:"Roger, Dispatching Reinforcements. Eliminate all hostile, secure the border Fortress and save the civilians, they might know something"

Rebel Troop 2:"Roger," *Changes Radio Frequency* "Rebels! All units Battle stations! This is not a drill!"

*a loud alarm sound*

-In Front of the border Fortress-

"Huh? (An alarm?)" Devon stopped running and hide behind a border Fortress concrete wall, resting Marlene at his side.
"Hey! Don't Shoot us! we're unarmed! Friendly!" he then tries to alert the Rebels.

*Sound coming from loudspeaker*

"All Rebels, Eliminate Hostiles and secure the civilians."

Then Devon whispers "Don't worry, it's going to be okay."

"It.. hurts..." Marlene said with a small voice.

Then Devon stares at her shirt, her shirt is wet, dripping with blood.
"(She has lost so much blood, she could go unconscious soon!) Heeelp!" Devon picks up Marlene, and carries her straight to the border gates.

*unknown voice, distorted*
"Congratulations."
"For your country."
"You will fight the battle. You will feel pain. Want it or not, you will die."
"...But you will win the war..."

*Images of dead people, then everything goes black*

"...No..."

A few moments later...

"Hello.."
"Helloo..."
"Hellooo, hey, wake up." Voice of a girl woke Devon.

"Nnggh.. What the?(Vehicle sounds? Its faint but i can hear it.)" Devon wakes up, confused.

"I said wake up," then Devon sees a young girl.
"You're  gonna get scorched lying there" said the tall girl.
"I'm Marlene, whats your name?"

"Uh.. what?(The noise, its gone.)"

"Your name, you haven't told me your name."

"Oh, I'm... Devon. My name is Devon.(a girl?)" He stands then looks around.

"Devon...(Nice name!) nice to meet you Devon!"

"Wait...(whats that rumbling noise i just heard? a vehicle convoy aproaches?)"

"What is it?"

"(I can't believe i'm still alive... anyway,) Oh, nothing. Thanks for saving me Marlene."

"Oh, you dont have to, (oh he's so kind) I didn't save your life, 'hellooo' is all i did. C'mon, the border i just over ther-- aahh!"

then she fell, her right shoulder got pierced by an arrow.

"(What?) Uh, Marlene? Marlene!" He crouched, trying to dodge the arrows and gun fire.
"What the hell!?" Merc Bandit convoy showed up.
"Hang in there!"

Devon pulled the arrow from her shoulder then throws it away.

"Aahh!(Help me!)"

"Hold on..(she's easy to carry, that's a good thing.)" He carries Marlene on his back, then run as fast as he can.

"(I have to get her to the border!)"

Suddenly, a guy riding a motorcycle appeared in front of him, then he pulled out a shotgun.

Fighting Fate 1 (Prologue)

Year 201X, the world is dying after an All-Out Nuclear Warfare.

Most of humanity died, some remains. 
An organization of highly trained mercenaries, the Mercs ruled the dying world. 
Other people gathered, becoming the Rebels, a force as strong as the Mercs. 
Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle of a desert...

Fighting Fate 2 (A start)

*Third person perspective*

In the middle of a desert, Devon walks

"Ugh... Damn, i can't feel my legs" he said
"I can see the border now, must be getting close, Better find a water source quickly cause i'm thirsty as hell..."

Hour after hour, he continues to walk. "i need water..."
After much more walking, he fell to his knees

"Damn it!" Tired, His vision slowly goes blur, then he saw a short figure, walking towards him.
"Hey! Hey you! HEEEYYYYY!! Over hereee!" He yelled as hard as he can, but the child-like figure stopped walking
"Damn it, i can't die here... not now... It's just a mile left to the border" Then everything goes black as he collapsed.
